The Intensive Care for You (ICU) video series was created to help leaders of children to implement more loving and effective methods of teaching, guidance, and discipline. I have combined my training, over 20 years of working with kids, and intensive research to make a shortcut for people who want to know what to do to help kids with various issues without having to spend twenty years doing therapy, reading books, going to college and workshops.
I wanted to give others a peek into what goes on behind closed doors with a therapist when teaching kids the skills they need to master the challenges of social and emotional development in the modern world. My live workshops received such excellent feedback I thought I would perfect and project them into videos leaders of children can watch at their leisure on most any device with a screen and internet connection at a low cost.

New clients kept telling me things like “I’ve been meaning to come for two years; my doctor told me to come, my school counselor gave me your name, and my neighbor told me to come, I don’t know why I waited so long.” I didn’t want the obstacles that keep people from seeking good help from an experienced counselor to cause such delays in helping children who are struggling, so I am making effective strategies available to people everywhere with just a few clicks to pay-per-view streamed videos.
I also worked hard to show how I implement strategies with real children in most of the videos, and created lists of resources and downloadable helpful documents. Often I disagree with the way adults interact with children who are struggling, and I am concerned about the frequency and intensity of mental and behavioral health issues that plague our population in modern society. My idea of how to make the world a better place is to start with better practices in raising and teaching children, so they can be healthier, happier people, who in turn will raise a generation of human beings who know how to love themselves and others rather than falling prey to the parasites of anger, criticism, disconnection, fear, and hate.
